Designed by teens, for teens! This annual teen-only event features a night of dancing, food, free giveaways, and much more. Explore the museum through creative art-making projects, contribute to collaborative art pieces, compete in trivia games, or show off your talent at our open mic! Oh, and did we mention it’s FREE! Everything happens after the Museum closes to the public; this is only for teens!

Where is the Event Located?
Teen Night will be in the Piano Pavilion ONLY. We recommend parking in our free underground garage, located off Van Cliburn Way, near the intersection with West Lancaster Avenue.
If you are dropped off or park in Kahn Building Parking or the Kimbell East Parking area, you will need to walk around to the Piano Pavilion, as the Kahn Building will be closed.
How much does it cost?
Admission is FREE.
Where do I get tickets?
No tickets required; this is a FREE event for all high school teens.

What time is the event?
Teen Night runs from 6 to 9 p.m. Doors to the Piano Pavilion will open at 6 p.m. Teens may not leave and come back during the event.
Dancing and a DJ! An open mic, free admission to the special exhibition From the Lands of Asia: The Sam and Myrna Myers Collection, collaborative art projects, trivia, and much more will be happening throughout the night!
How do I participate in the Open Mic?
Sign up to participate when you arrive at the event! Look for the teens with golden clipboards, or sign up at the Info Table. Space is limited, so show up on time to get a spot.
We welcome performers of any kind: singers, spoken word, musicians, actors, dancers, magicians, etc.
You need to have performance rights for accompanying background music.
Instruments of all kinds are welcome, but please leave your amps at home. We have a way for you to plug in when you get here

Will there be food?
Yes, and it’s FREE! However, food will be available on a first-come, first-served basis, so when it’s gone, it’s gone.
Can parents come?
No. This is a teen-only event. Parents can drop off teens and make reservations to have dinner at a nearby restaurant.
Who can come?
Teens in high school. Teens must bring a valid school ID. Entering freshmen and recently graduated seniors (May or June 2018) are welcome to come! Sorry, no middle school or college teens.
What if I don't have a high school ID?
Bring a photo ID that has your birthdate, such as a Texas ID or passport, or a note from a teacher, parent, or guardian.
Is the event supervised?
Yes. Museum educators and security staff will chaperone the evening.
Can we leave and come back?
No. There are no in-and-out privileges.
Can I bring in my backpack?
No. Backpacks are not allowed into the event. If you bring a backpack or large purse, you will have to leave it at the parcel check with Kimbell staff.
Where can we get dropped off?
On Camp Bowie Boulevard, at our Group Drop-off area, or you can get dropped off in our free underground parking garage, located off Van Cliburn Way, near the intersection with West Lancaster Avenue.

Where do I pick up my teen after the event?
At the Group Drop-off area, located on Camp Bowie Boulevard, or in our free underground parking garage, located off Van Cliburn Way, near the intersection with West Lancaster Avenue. We recommend planning ahead and agreeing on a pick-up plan before the event.*
*The Kimbell Art Museum is not responsible for teen supervision once they leave the Piano Pavilion. This includes both after the event has ended and if a teen leaves during the event.
