SUMMER INSTITUTE FOR TEACHERS

TUESDAY–FRIDAY, JUNE 24–27, 10 AM–4 PM

Daily sessions will feature auditorium presentations, gallery discussions, and studio-art activities relating to the special exhibition Samurai: Armor from the Ann and Gabriel Barbier-Mueller CollectionParticipants will create lesson plans to be shared on the last day. This program is open to all local educators, but is especially designed for studio art, language arts, and social studies. 

The total fee for this 20-hour program is $200 ($175 for Kimbell members); educators must register for all four days. CPE credits are available.

Museum Forum for Teachers: Modern and Contemporary Art

MONDAY–FRIDAY, JULY 21–25, 10 AM–4 PM

An immersive week-long summer program for educators features sessions at the Warehouse, Nasher Sculpture Center, Dallas Museum of Art, Kimbell Art Museum, and Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth. Participating middle and high school teachers are invited to deepen their understanding of contemporary and modern art and architecture, develop strategies for interpreting and teaching about artworks in the classroom or museum galleries, and connect with collections, resources, and colleagues at each institution.

$250 tuition includes all instruction, materials, and lunch each day.
The application deadline is May 30, with a 10% discount for applicants who submit forms by April 4.
