Piano Pavilion

Chamber Music Society of Fort Worth

This concert offers three cherished works by Schubert and Schumann. The great Fantasia in F minor for four-hands by Schubert will open the program, featuring special guest pianists Alessandro Deljavan, a favorite of Fort Worth audiences since winning a jury discretionary award in the 2013 Cliburn International Piano Competition, and Baya Kakouberi, an internationally renowned artist noted for her chamber music performances, recitals, and recordings.

Fort Worth Opera

Fort Worth Opera will host the fourth annual opera showcase, Frontiers, during the last week of the 2016 Fort Worth Opera Festival. Eight selected works will be presented in the intimate setting of the Kimbell Art Museum’s Kahn Auditorium. The twenty-minute excerpts, sung by artists from the 2016 Fort Worth Opera Festival with piano accompaniment, will be offered in two separate showcases of four works each.

Season Finale! Jason Vieaux

NPR describes Grammy-winning guitarist Jason Vieaux as “perhaps the most precise and soulful classical guitarist of his generation,” and Gramophone magazine puts him “among the elite of today’s classical guitarists.” His most recent solo album, Play, won the 2015 Grammy Award for Best Classical Instrumental Solo. Vieaux has earned a reputation for putting his expressiveness and virtuosity at the service of a remarkably wide range of music.

Duo Deloro: Adam del Monte and Mak Grgić

In a new and exciting collaboration, guitarists Adam del Monte and Mak Grgić team up to take listeners on a fresh and spontaneous journey through Latin American and Spanish landscapes in their program “La Buena Vida.” With brand new arrangements of Guastavino, Granados, and Albéniz, plus traditional Argentinian tangos and original flamenco compositions by Del Monte, these dynamic artists cast a renewed spirit into the world of the guitar duo.
