This free and fun-for-all-ages event will celebrate ancient traditions and precious objects from across Asia with music and dance performances, craft demonstrations and art-making activities, gallery explorations, and more. Participants will also enjoy free admission to the special exhibition From the Lands of Asia: The Sam and Myrna Myers Collection. Join us to sketch, construct, and collaborate during this free and fun-for-all-ages event celebrating architecture and buildings of all kinds. Creative hands-on projects, interactive storytimes, and live performances will highlight the many ways that architecture helps to shape our lives and communities. This event is offered in conjunction with the exhibition Louis Kahn: The Power of Architecture and Nuestro Kimbell. Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month at the Kimbell during an exciting afternoon featuring music and dance performances, face painting, gallery storytimes, children’s films, and art activities for the entire family! This special event also marks the introduction of Nuestro Kimbell, with the release of Spanish translations of our permanent collection audio tour, family gallery guides, and other resources and materials.
