SUMMER FUN IN STUDIO A
A NEW SEASONAL DROP-IN SPACE FOR FAMILIES WITH YOUNG CHILDREN
FORT WORTH—The Kimbell Art Museum is pleased to announce the opening of Summer Fun in Studio A, a new seasonal learning environment where families with children ages 5 and younger are invited to drop in, hang out and play around with assorted learning activities. This temporary educational space in the Renzo Piano Pavilion is free to the public and will be open during regular Museum hours from May 24 through August 31, 2014. Each month will explore themes related to color through “do-it-together activities,” interactive stations, a large-scale community felt wall and a well-stocked children’s book collection. Space is limited; no reservations required.
On May 24, 2014, in celebration of the opening of this dedicated space, the Museum will offer free studio-art activities for children, storybook readings and mini-classes for parents about exploring art with their children. The first 500 families who visit on Grand Opening Day will receive a complimentary gift.
Support for Summer Fun in Studio A is provided by a grant from the Lowe Foundation.
