TOPICS FOR TEACHERS

Separate morning and afternoon sessions explore topics relating to the permanent collection and special exhibitions. Teachers may sign up for either or both sessions, which will feature thematic gallery tours, staff presentations, and studio-art activities.

Free; preregistration required. Participants will receive free instructional materials. CPE credits are available.

SUMMER INSTITUTE FOR TEACHERS

Daily sessions during this 20-hour professional development program will feature auditorium presentations, gallery discussions, and studio-art activities relating to artworks on view. Participants will create lesson plans to be shared on the last day.

This program is open to all local educators, but is especially designed for art, language arts, and social studies teachers. CPE credits are available.

MUSEUM FORUM FOR TEACHERS: MODERN & CONTEMPORARY ART

This collaborative program features day-long sessions at The Rachofsky House, Nasher Sculpture Center, Dallas Museum of Art, Kimbell Art Museum, and Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth. While deepening their understanding of contemporary and modern art and architecture, participating middle and high school teachers will develop interpretive and instructional strategies for exploring art and artworks in the classroom and museum galleries.

Application-based registration; space is limited. CPE credits are available.
