Daily sessions will feature staff-led presentations, gallery discussions, and studio art activities connecting to the Museum’s permanent collection and the special exhibition A Modern Vision: European Masterworks from the Phillips Collection. Participants will create lesson plans to be shared on the last day. This program is open to all local educators, but is especially designed for studio art, language arts, and social studies. The total fee for this 20-hour program is $225 ($180 for Kimbell members); educators must register for all four days. CPE credits are available. An immersive week-long summer program for educators features sessions at The Warehouse, Nasher Sculpture Center, Dallas Museum of Art, Kimbell Art Museum, and Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth. Participating middle and high school teachers are invited to deepen their understanding of contemporary and modern art and architecture; develop strategies for interpreting and teaching about artworks in the classroom or museum galleries; and connect with collections, resources, and colleagues at each institution. $250 tuition includes all instruction, materials, and lunch each day.
