2020 Virtual Edition | Daily sessions will delve into a range of topics related to artworks in the Kimbell's permanent collection, including Maori sculptureancient Roman portraiture, and Italian altarpieces, along with related at-home art-making activities such as alternative materials challenges, family triptychs, and more. Participants will receive 4 hours of CPE credits per day, 16 over four days, plus all the resources presented during the program. The program fee (usually $225) will be waived for this year; participants are instead invited to “pay what you can.”

 

Daily online sessions will include:

  • Staff-led virtual presentations on art-historical topics (mornings)
  • Prompts for at-home studio activities and other creativity challenges
  • Online group meetings modeling strategies for arts instruction both online and in the classroom (afternoons)
  • Exchange of ideas with other participating educators, including lesson plan presentations on the last day
